When it comes to being a good person, many of us think that being nice is the key. However, it is actually selfish.
You’re doing it for yourself and not the other person. You’re too attached to things and are operating from a scarcity mindset.
Avoiding conflict will hit you long-term.
You’re making a bubble by hiding your true feelings by being polite and agreeable. Putting others ahead of yourself is not sustainable.
Giving feedback is being kind (both to yourself and others).
Being nice is easy. Everything is rosy. Being kind means you actually care about the other person and want them to improve by giving feedback even if it’s inconvenient or requires sacrifice on your part. Kindness is a strength, not a weakness. It builds trust.
