You get a meeting request.
You don’t feel like taking it right now.
You schedule it for 2 weeks later saying your calendar is packed.
You cancel it on the day of the meeting. You still don’t want to take it.
If you’re not excited to get on a call with someone right now, there’s a high chance that it will be the same later this month as well. This is the litmus test I use to put any meeting on my calendar:
Would I get on this call today if I had time? If yes, I schedule it.
