How to Iterate Using Feedback Loops?

Posted on:Oct 6, 2022

During ideation as well as the execution phase, always ask your peers to commit to an answer to questions like: How much impact would this bring? What challenges do you foresee? How fast can we do this? This gives you and them an opportunity to calibrate themselves with the actual result.

Calibration is how you course-correct.

Without putting down things concretely, it’s hard to reflect and realize how off we were. You can always say to yourself that you were right in the absence of evidence.

If you do the same thing again, don’t expect different results.

Calibration turns speed into velocity.

Hypothesize. Execute. Calibrate. Repeat.

If your estimates align with actuals, you’re very valuable.
